I’m New

welcome1

Welcome!  It is a joy to have you with us!

We want to help you get connected to St. Justin Martyr.

If you are new to Orthodoxy, you may feel a bit overwhelmed.  That is normal.  Please understand Orthodox worship/theology is unchanged and yet unfamiliar to the average American.  Don’t worry, we will help you to get acquainted and try to do it

At the core of Christian community is hospitality.  It is for this reason we put a great effort into having a quality coffee hour after Sunday Liturgy in the Fellowship Hall.  Please come in for a cup of coffee and good food.  As soon as the clergy have removed their vestments they will be in the Fellowship Hall.

If you like Bible Study, from September-May we have Sunday school classes from 9:00-9:45a.  If you are interested in learning more about the Orthodox Faith, we have an ongoing inquirers class.  Please see the church calendar elsewhere on the website.

Ministry to the youth is an important parish value.  Our Youth Director Daniel Kindell is experienced in youth camping ministry and provides regularly ongoing ministry and programs for the youth.  We have a playground for the youngsters adjacent the Fellowship Hall and a playfield for the older children.  We also have a dedicated Youth Ministry/Sunday School building for the children.

For the parents of young ones we have Young Families Ministry that meetings every other month. Visit our “Ministry” tab for more information.

Most importantly, contact the rector Fr. Ted Pisarchuk.  He would love to get to know you and serve you in any way possible.  You can call him at (904) 880 7671 or email at  sjmrector@gmail.com .

St. Justin Martyr is truly a parish family.  The benefit of this is that we are committed to one another as Christians and as friends. The downside is that sometimes newer family members feel a little awkward.  Please be patient with us in our weakness!

Again, welcome and please keep up with us on Facebook and visit the News webpage for inbetween bulletin updates.
